Ground Search Team

The Tulare County Search & Rescue Ground Team Ground operates in rugged mountainous areas from 7000 ft to
14,500 ft. Mission assignments may include extreme variances in elevation within the search area, searches in extreme heat or cold >+20 degrees with precipitation, snow or ice, and areas of heavy ground cover. Search areas may also be located in the most remote wilderness areas, far away from support or passable roads and trails. Personnel are capable of field assignments lasting up to 72 hours without support. Mission assignments alwso include urban, rural, ag land, foothill and building
searches etc. Ground Search personnel require a high level of training, skills, equipment and physical conditioning.
